Tuning your Body – Cyclist Workshop for Tour Alberta for Cancer Participants
Hosted by: Dr. Nathan Jeffs, DC
Length: 45min-1hr
Cycling is a closed chain, cyclical activity that we spend thousands of hours performing. This can lead to stiffness in joints and muscles and a higher incidence of overuse injuries among cyclists. To address these common issues and provide relief, this workshop focuses on the causes and potential solutions for complaints such as low back pain, neck stiffness, and hand numbness. Participants will engage in a variety of strengthening exercises and mobilizations tailored to each specific condition. By incorporating these off-the-bike solutions, cyclists can enhance their on-the-bike efficiency and reduce discomfort. To fully benefit from the workshop, attendees are encouraged to be prepared for active participation and engagement.
